What is this study?

This project investigates recurring patterns of workplace behaviour. We are gathering observations from working people worldwide to test and validate the Behavioral Intelligence framework, a set of hypothesised behavioural patterns, and to build a global baseline of how frequently these patterns occur and how much they disrupt work.

Who runs it, and how will the data be used?

The study is run by the research team behind The BI Method. Anonymised responses form a baseline dataset that is used both in published research and in the team's products. By taking part you are contributing to both. If you are not comfortable with that, please do not take part.

What do we collect?

Your answers to the 20 study observations shown to you, drawn from a catalogue of 41. Broad demographic bands — country of work, employment status, industry, team size and tenure — wide enough that they cannot identify you. An anonymous session identifier and how long the survey took. Optionally, and only if you choose to leave them, one or two email addresses: one to hear when the findings are published, one to receive a summary of your own organisation's results. Each is stored separately from your responses and separately from the other.

We do not collect your name or precise location. We do not collect your employer's identity either, unless you arrive through a company-specific invitation link.

What if my company invited me?

Some participants arrive through a link a company has been given. If you did, the intro screen told you which company invited you and asked for separate, explicit consent before you continued. Your individual answers are never shown to the inviting company, or to anyone else, under any circumstance. Once at least ten people from that company have responded, an aggregate summary becomes available to it; below that threshold nothing is shown at all, specifically to prevent a small group's aggregate being reversible to individuals.
